My Funeral Director Finder is a free directory of funeral directors and related services across the UK. It exists to help people find the right help quickly, at a time when they have a lot to deal with.
What is in the directory?
The directory lists 3,938 businesses:
- Funeral directors, both independent firms and branches of national and regional groups
- Funeral florists, who make wreaths, coffin sprays and letter tributes
- Stonemasons and memorial masons, for headstones, memorials and additional inscriptions
- Probate solicitors, who deal with probate and the estate
You can search by county, type of business and service, or type a name, town or postcode. Our guides explain the practical steps after a death, starting with what to do when someone dies.
Where do the listings come from?
Listings are compiled from public sources: trade association member directories, such as those of the National Association of Funeral Directors, the websites of funeral groups and co-operative societies, businesses’ own websites and public business listings. County information is worked out from each business’s postcode. If a business close to a county border appears under the wrong county, tell us and it will be corrected.
What does a listing show?
A standard listing shows the business name, address and county, its services, and its website, phone number and email address where it publishes them. For funeral directors we also show:
- Ownership, where it is known: whether the funeral director is independent or part of a group such as the Co-op, Dignity or Funeral Partners. Many group-owned funeral directors still trade under a long-standing local name, and many people want to know who they are dealing with.
- A published starting price, where one is available. Prices change and depend on what you choose, so always ask for the funeral director’s current price list.
A listing is not a recommendation. My Funeral Director Finder does not arrange funerals, sell funeral plans or give legal advice.
How are featured listings shown?
Some listings may be featured. A featured listing is one the business has paid for. It appears before standard listings in search results and is always marked with a “Featured” label, so you can tell paid placement from the rest. All other listings are standard listings and appear in alphabetical order.
How can a listing be corrected or removed?
If you work for a listed business, open your listing and choose “Update this listing”, or use the List your business page. Changes are checked by a person before they go live. To have a listing removed, contact us.

Why do you show who owns a funeral director?
